Rabbi Bernie Rotman will be leading a workshop about the order, structure, choreography, tunes, and meaning of the traditional egalitarian kabbalat Shabbat and erev Shabbat services. The program is open to anyone who wants to learn, whether this is a service that they have ever or would ever attend or not, whether they are Jewish or a student or not. It is especially for anyone who would like to try his or her hand at leading or co-leading this or any other service. A second workshop coming from a more liberal religious background will be offered some time soon.
